Case 5
4year old boy was brought with history of fever since 2 days followed by altered sensorium and multiple episodes of seizure. MRI brain and CSF study were normal. He was a case of viral meningoencephalitis. After nearly a week when his sensorium improved there was flaccid weakness of all limbs. NCV showed polyradiculoneuropathy, hence was given iv immunoglobulin. After few months he was back to his normal life as before with no any deficit. This is a rare encounter of a case with viral meningoencephalitis with guillain-barre syndrome(GBS).
